FAQs
Delta-8 is a psychoactive compound found in the cannabis plant. Normally it is in fairly small amounts, but through a scientific process, legal CBD distillate can be converted into legal delta-8. Then the delta-8 can be blended into gummies or other products. Delta-8 has a "high" factor similar to marijuana's delta-9, but is less strong and is more relaxing than its delta-9 cousin.
Both delta-8 and delta-9 produce euphoric, blissful sensations. AdvenTrue uses only the purest hemp-derived federally-legal delta-8 and delta-9 in our gummies. Delta-8 is not as strong as delta-9, so average doses are 20-30 mg of delta-8 versus 10-15 mg of delta-9. Delta-8 tends to produce a more relaxed sensation, whereas delta-9 produces a more euphoric feeling. Many of our customers use either depending on their goals at the time.
Hemp-derived delta-8 refers to delta-8 THC that is derived from federally legal hemp plants. Hemp naturally contains significant levels of CBD or CBG, but normally contains only low levels of delta-8 THC. Legal hemp is distilled into concentrated CBD oil, which is then scientifically processed again into hemp-derived delta-8. As long as the finished product (usually in the form of gummies) is derived downstream from legal hemp plants, and contains less than .3% delta-9 THC, it is a federally legal THC product due to the Farm Bill of 2018.
Delta-8 THC is a newer hemp-derived alternative for promoting better sleep. This compound is similar to delta-9 THC but with a slightly different chemical structure and a more relaxing sensation.
Delta-8 THC has been reported to potentially provide comfort from stiffness and soreness by interacting with the body's endocannabinoid system, although more research is needed to understand its effectiveness fully. It is essential to consult with a healthcare professional for personalized advice regarding any pain management and to discuss potential risks and benefits of delta-8 THC.
The onset time for delta-8 gummies can vary depending on factors such as metabolism, dosage, and individual response. Generally, it can take 1 to 2 hours for the effects of a delta-8 gummy to be felt. Factors such as whether the gummy is consumed on an empty or full stomach can also influence the onset time. It is advisable to start with a low dose and allow at least 4 hours for the effects to manifest before considering additional consumption.
Normally the effects of a delta-8 gummy will last for about 4 hours. 30mg is considered a normal dose. For the first d8 experience we recommend trying 10-15mg. Highly experienced consumers may take 50mg or more. We suggest going slowly and staying in a moderate dosage range.
AdvenTrue products are labeled as not for sale to minors, and our website restricts access to those under 21. The hemp industry self-regulates age restrictions, but retail should only allow sales to those 21 or older.
You should assume that delta-8 will show up in a drug test for several weeks after taking it.
Yes. Delta-8 will normally show up in a THC drup test.
Current TSA's rules explain that Delta-8 can be brought through airports if the Delta-9 THC content is less than 0.3% and that the Delta-8 product is legal in both the departure and destination states. Rules and regulations change regularly, so it is a good idea to contact TSA for the latest information.
We do not recommend delta-8 for dogs or cats. It has potential effects that an animal may find confusing. The normal dog or cat cannabinoid is calming CBD, and we recommend you consult your veterinarian before considering any cannabinoid product for your dog or cat.
It's important not to drive or operate machinery while taking delta-8 and not to use it if you are pregnant or have any medical condition without discussing it with your health care professional.
